“This cute picture book tells the story of some animal friends who work together to help A-Jay, a little bird whose nest fell out of a tree when his friend the horse, Tripp tries to say hello. The animals help A-Jay and at the end of the story A-Jay asks if one day when he is bigger he can play with the other animals. The story tells readers that we all make mistakes and moping around or getting upset wont solve them, but working together will. I like that instead of the word "said" all dialogue uses the sounds the animals would make, for example: Tripp neighed, Remy meows. I think that kids will enjoy this element of the story and it will also help them identify who is speaking, the cat definitely doesn't neigh after all!

The font is fairly accessible, it is usually black fonts on green or blue background. At times it feels like a little too much text on a page, but for the most part there are about 4-6 lines per page. The pictures are colouful and detailed and add to the comprehension of the text. This book is part of a series, which is also great because sometimes getting a struggling reader to read the sequel is much easier than starting them on a new book! I would recommend this book for parents and teachers of children in the age 4-8 range. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book!”

“This is a very sweet story of a cat who has lost her meow. She meets Remy, who says he will Callie find her meow. They go on an adventure to find Callie's meow.

The message of the book is that children will speak when they're ready or they need to and there's no hurry to speak. It's a very sweet book and I would absolutely buy it for a child.”

“This is a children's picture book about 2 cats called Remy and Callie who become friends and Remy helps Callie to find her voice. The book has beautiful illustrations and a nice story about friends who help each other and take care of each other. It shows that it is ok not to be able to do the same as another person, such as speaking. In the book, the cat only spoke when she was ready to. This can be useful to show a child who has not yet spoken; to let them know that it is ok to speak when they feel ready to do so. I read this book with my daughter and she enjoyed it, although the book was a little bit long for her to concentrate on and it was a bit repetitive. However, it was still a good book and one that we will read together again.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.”

“This was a special read for me, because one of my most faithful companions ever was a Tuxedo cat named Boots. We spent nine years together, and like Rembrandt in the story, he loves to go outside and roll in the dirt. He was an alpha male, for sure.

In this cute, little picture book, Rembrandt makes a friend, a pretty calico who can’t meow, so he vows to help her go looking for it, and they have lots of adventures while on the hunt.

It’s out in October, and it had an indie feel, in the best possible way. I loved the artwork and the story. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for the further adventures of Rembrandt.”
